Project Name: Online Credit Card Processing - ClearCommerce
Project Leader: Lorraine Rappaport
Project Team: Larry Stone, Joe Keohan, Jag Patel, Lorraine Rappaport
Report Date: December 7, 2001
Project URL: http://web.mit.edu/is/delivery/ccard
Accomplishments Past Period:
- Continued certification testing with First Data. Awaiting results from
First
Data for the most recent, and hopefully final, test.
- With NetOps and NetSecurity assistance, ASST researched and approved
SunScreen Lite, a port filtering product for the CC server.
- Built Point of Sale web front-end to facilitate merchants' processing of
non-web orders, a manual process that currently is very time-consuming for
many
merchants.
- Met with MIT Press to understand their current lines of business and needs.
- Presented FY2003 budget proposal.
Goals for Next Period:
- Receive results and certification from First Data. Depending on First
Data's
schedule, move to their production system and begin processing live
transactions. First Data has a production freeze during the holiday
season, so
if they cannot fit us in, this schedule may slip until they are ready.
- Finalize shutdown/startup procedures for backups with ASST.
- Meet with Document Services to provide update and discuss near-term options.
- Work with ASST, as needed, to install and configure SunScreen Lite.
- Give Alumni Association access to the Point of Sale interface.
- Continue discussions with MIT Press.
Issues:
- None
