Accomplishments during November
- Identify physical Location for the newly created GIS Lab (Rotch Library
7-238)
- Submit ACP proposal and granted approval to fund all components of the
GIS Lab
- Purchased equipments and Network drops for the GIS Lab
- Update project notebook
- Draft Financial Responsibilities document for IS and Libraries roles
- Draft SDS/GIS teams' structure to support, enhance and maintains the system
- Incorporate Oracle documentation in the Administrator's guide
Goals for December.
1. Open the newly created GIS/SDS Lab for testing and services
2. Meeting with the Libraries' C3 group
3. Continue working on master delivery project plan
4. Schedule all members meeting
5. Draft an SLA with Athena OPS.
6. Continue working on the backup strategy
7. Review and revised startup and shutdown scripts on the server
8. Schedule to rebuild the database
9. Continue working on project manuals
Issues
1. Who decides what data to be loaded on production server (in draft)
2. Who pays for storage expansions of the system, when needed (in draft)
3. Authentication/Authorization issues with licensed data.
4. Oracle SDO and ESRI SDE components
