This month's accomplishments (August 2001)

-       Coordinated the move from blimp to Taj as the warehouse test 
machine - copied over all software, source code & data files, coordinated 
with database group & ASST.

-        Investigated various purchasing-related user questions.

-        Assisted in user question regarding confidentiality of a student's 
personal information sent to the on-line directory.

-       Alumni data loaded to Warehouse: address, degree, affiliation 
(schools and departments), biographic. Mark Jacobs is checking them out 
with his "functional people".

-       Grad Admissions data loaded to Warehouse: application data, test 
score, school attended. Just completed the design and load. Will have SSIT, 
Admissions people start checking out the data and the design later this week.

-       Financial Aid COFHE report. Generated queries to answer all the 
questions. SFS is checking the discrepancies, the criteria, etc. Report 
due: October 12... will load the results to a table later.

-       Continue working on Sloan School of Management Tuition Revenue 
Sharing project:

-       Finalize HR/Benefits design.

-       Demo HR/Benefits initial design & prototype to HR/Benefits team, 
Benefit Administrators, and Medical.

-       Work with HR/Benefits & Benefits Administrators to define reports 
to be created in the DW.

-       Demo the new major Construction costs tracking system to Vicky 
Sirianni.

-       Start of monthly meetings with Financial Aid Office to discuss DW 
issues and for training.

-       Create initial budget & project plan for AAUDE.

-       Finish data model and business model for the MIT News Office.

-       Work with Campus Police to install BrioQuery on their machines. 
Also, provided training.


Next Month's Plans (October 2001)

-       Clean test warehouse machine and turn over to development for AAUDE 
use.

-       Implement and Test HR/Benefits design.

-       Create HR/Benefits reports.

-       Continue prototype of MIT Card Office (building access data) data.

-       Begin to rollout New Major Construction Costs system to Facilities 
Project Managers

-       Continue work on AAUDE Data Warehouse.

-       Provide BrioQuery Training to the Office of Dean Student Life.

-   Duplicate directory structure form old Planning Office NT Server on the 
AAUDE Machine.
