This is the final Delivery report for the Wireless project. Early
in July 2001 the MIT Wireless LAN Project effectively completed the
deployment of 209 wireless access points covering over 200 locations
in 39 buildings around the campus. This project has extended
wireless access to MITnet in most classroom and library spaces as
well as many public spaces across campus. Additional access points
will be deployed in some areas currently undergoing renovation. Over
the next year, IS will observe the performance of the wireless LAN
and modify support and service accordingly.
