Project Name: Online Credit Card Processing - ClearCommerce
Project Leader: Lorraine Rappaport
Report Date: 8.5.2001
Project URL: http://web.mit.edu/is/delivery/ccard
Accomplishments Past Period:
- Received router from First Data. Verizon came (ahead of schedule) to
install
the leased line, but have not yet finished the installation. The ISDN backup
line has been installed. DOST is helping to test the router and connectivity
with First Data.
- Created general receivables application for ClearCommerce version 4.1.
Testing continues.
- Investigated options for integrating ShopSite and ClearCommerce. It might
get somewhat easier politically now that ShopSite has been sold by OpenMarket,
who was a competitor of ClearCommerce.
- Worked with Career Fair to build their registration application and register
for CyberCash account. The site is ready to go live for the September Career
Fair.
- Worked with Leaders for Manufacturing to plan and implement a site for
conference registrations using ShopSite and CyberCash. The site is almost
ready to go live for a September LFM conference.
Goals for Next Period:
- Finalize plans with Service to go live with limited pilot. Install server,
O/S, database.
- Verizon is expected to complete installation of leased line
- Plan for ClearCommerce arrival to complete application installation, testing
with First Data, and training.
- Implement general receivables application on production box.
- Work with Alumni Association to begin pilot.
Issues:
- ASST has been short-staffed, which has slowed down installation of the
server
hardware.
- Team leader has been working about 75% time on Benefits project for the past
several weeks.
