accomplishments past period:
- came to agreement to contract with Reid Pinchback for some initial
project consulting
- continued to discuss service and operations resource requiremrnts and
possible solutions with director of delivery and project sponsor
- continued correspondence with sarah shreeves from libraries about using
casetracker for tracking bugs in aleph; met with debra wiley from fss
regarding their potential use of Casetracker.
- compiled design documents and led very productive discussion at design
review on 2/15.
- contacted itit regarding conducting an Integration review
goals for coming period:
- continue to evaluate tools and set up development machine
- establish task list and make it accessible to all members of team
- continue to identify cause of problem with running oracle 8.1.7 on test
server
- once bugs resolved, upgrade production machine to oracle 8.1.7
- conduct integration review
- identify and/or design a service solution that gets us away from owning
service and operations responsibilities for casetracker
- move email and web enhancements from test into production
- do preliminary tracking of expenses to facilitate the creation of a
casetracker budget should the decision be made to do so.
- identify a replacement resource for Nick Howard, someone to assist with
testing and usability issues
- begin work on designing the new web interface as phase 1 of the project
issues:
- the challenge of who can and will do what on the team continues; oliver
continues to be the one most knowledgeable about most things casetracker;
losing nick and potentially rob from the effort means reassigning some
tasks and/or identifying replacement resources
key learning:
- it helps to keep track of all the tasks
team dynamics:
- all is well, information is beginning to be more commonly shared, and
there is a renewed commitment to getting this work going
