Project Name: IS Work
The project formerly known as "IS Operational Plan Alive!"
Project Leaders: Tim McGovern
Report Date: November 3, 2000
Project Notebook: http://web.mit.edu/is/delivery/iswork/

System is in production!!! To use, go to http://mit.edu/is/work/
Delivery is complete, and the product and process are in Service mode.
I hope that Bob will continue as Service sponsor, but this remains to be
confirmed.

Accomplishments past period (October)
- Stabilized design of system (Kris)
- Coordinated final demise of Project DB (Tim/Kris)
- Ensured IS Web Pages links to Project DB now point to new system (Kris)
- Announced widespread availability of the system (Bob/Jim)
- Began to manage IS work on the basis of the database's contents (ITLT)

Service goals for the coming period (November)
- Fix level 1 bugs in the system as they are reported.
- Collect all other bugs and suggestions from use.
- Migrate IS Work machine to a hardened production facility (carryover)

Issues
- No new ones at this time.

Key learnings
- A great sponsor makes work move ahead well! I want to particularly thank
Bob Ferrara for his unflagging support and effort through the final weeks
of the Delivery work on this project...we wouldn't be into production without
   his vigorous involvement.

Team dynamics
- I feel quite vindicated in having moved from the larger team model (March
through June) to the smaller team model. Kris was chiefly responsible for
making this project a success since June, and did a heroic job of managing
me, Bob, and her expert consultant, Kevin. Kudos to everyone, but huge
   kudos to Kris!!!

Additional comments
- None
