This Month's Accomplishments
* A decision was made to release part of the planned enhancements to the
calendar earlier than January. We are now planning to release the
following changes in mid/late November:
* "Add Event" screen redesign.
* "Edit Event" screen redesign.
* Ability to edit/delete all occurrences of an event at once.
* Separation of long-term exhibits from other events to reduce clutter of
the event listings.
* Ability to preview new event before saving it.
* Received feedback from usability team on the mock-up screens for
the enhancements to the calendar. Incorporated some of the ideas
into the design.
* Completed a working version of the enhanced calendar. Ready for testing.
* Completed a plan for the November rollout of changes.
Next Month's Plans
* Invite usability team & other users to test the enhanced calendar.
* Communicate the upcoming changes to all affected users.
* Schedule quick-start style demos of the enhanced calendar.
Issues
* The "phase 2" enhancements to the calendar are now subdivided into a
1.2 release and a 1.5 release. 1.2 will be ready in mid/late November
while 1.5 is slated for completion in January 2000.
