Project Name: IMAP Email Services Delivery
Project Leader: Matt Brody
Report Date: August 29, 2000
Submitted by: Matt Brody
URL: http://web.mit.edu/is/delivery/imap/index.htm

Accomplishments past period:

-  Received and incorporated feedback into IMAP documentation web pages;
final draft of IMAP documentation (minus Athena specific pages) complete
- Work on Athena-specific IMAP pages underway (draws heavily from
Windows & Mac pages)
- Work underway on IMAP Quick Start; will be completed by mid September
when a preview session will be offered exclusively to IT Partners and IS
Support Process staff
- Completed draft of IMAP announcement; final draft being sent to
project sponsors for release to IT Partners
- Planning underway for IMAP training for Help Desk and Athena
Consulting staff; this is being handled by the Help Desk and Athena
Consulting staffs directly with assistance from Phyllis Galt in Training
& Pubs.

Goals for the coming period:

- Perform additional check-in with Project Sponsors (Theresa and Dennis)
- Complete Athena-specific IMAP documentation
- Incorporate IMAP links into new MIT @ Email web pages
- Move new web pages into production
- Complete IMAP Quick Start and deliver preview session to IT Partners
- Work with Help Desk and Athena Consulting in carrying out IMAP staff
training
- Project wrap-up

Issues:

- Continue to coordinate closely with the Software Release Team.
- Accomplish check-in with Tom Coppetto to confirm server-side portion
of IMAP is ready to go; so far so good.

Additional comments:

- The project has continued to proceed well and we are on target for the
October 2nd implementation date.
