Accomplishments Past Period:
* Launched project team
* Created project notebook/web site
* Negotiated consulting services with Veritas
* Completed pre-installation checklist for Veritas
* Completed site prep for new hardware, including power, new
network ports and console management in W91 and E40.
Goals for the Coming Period
* Receive and install all hardware for project
* Install/configure operating systems on new backup servers
* NetBackup training for new employee
* Define NetBackup configurations
* Install NetBackup in E40 and W91
* Develop test plan
* Complete initial configuration and testing
* Start SAP/Oracle online backup testing
Issues:
* Unknown hardware arrival dates have us scrambling to make sure that
we have all hardware installed before the Veritas consultant arrives
to help with software configuration.
