HURRAY! Someone else can see through the fog.
ANS continues to pretend that people can use their network without
being their customers - nonsense. Then they say that their non-customers
should pay for using the network that their customers paid for - i.e.
pay twice for the infrastructure.
This is why the ANS settlement structure is such a sham. Presumably, ANS is
getting paid what they consider to be a fair price by their customers. Then
they want the other end of the connection to pay for what has already been
paid for. It's a great deal if you can get it.
Thats not cost settlement, thats overcharging. Just because they
are charging "commercial" sites, doesnt make it unreasonable. Just
because some commercial sites are willing to pay it doesnt make it reasonable.
The proposed ANS settlement scheme is nothing more than a tax on commercial
sites levied by ANS.
Usually, we only see "soak the rich" tax schemes coming out of congress...
