Who is going to provide the moral equivalent of the Rand-Mcnally road
atlas, the Texaco road maps, the AAA Trip-tiks? What we have now is
much more like the old Lincoln Highway, with painted markings on trees
and oral tradition that helps you get through the rough spots on the
	road.

Yes, I've been saying that ever since my book (The Matrix) was published
in late 1989. The large networking organizations show little interest
in contextual issues, particularly ones that have to do with networks
other than their own. Yet users want resources and communications,
and don't want to have to deal with network differences.

Perhaps the best solution is to go around the large organizations
and directly to the users....

Thanks,
John
