You bet it is.
We have alternatives coming online in Chicago as well. And, given the fact
that Ameritech can't manage to get ANYTHING installed right the first time,
you can bet your last nickel we're talking to them in earnest.
The telco attitude is going to kill the old wireline companies as soon as
people have that choice -- unless they lose the attitude RIGHT NOW.
We've already billed Ameritech <twice> for their screwups in the last
month. I've gotten fed up enough that every time they cost one of my
people a wasted trip to a customer site due to their internal problems
they get the bill instead of the customer.
We'll see if they actually <pay> those bills however.
