This statement simply is wrong.  The DNS functions just fine.

It has a number of difference 'schemas' for defining and assinging names and
some of THEM don't scale well.  This is not a problem with the DNS.  It is a
problem with information administration.

And no, I'm not nit-picking.  I think it's important to be very clear about
what problem needs to be solved and that it helps to label it properly.
