In the present DNS, registering

	mountainview.ca.us. CNAME mtview.ca.us.

doesn't help all the foo.mtview.ca.us subdomains, and registering

	*.mountainview.ca.us. CNAME *.mtview.ca.us.

doesn't have useful semantics. It would be easty to write an RFC and
change the implementations to give useful semantics to wildcards on the
right hand side of a CNAME record, but it hasn't happened yet.
