Assuming that the announcement by C&S on marketing "super-oxygenated
water" is not itself a fraud, the product itself -- as someone here
just mentioned -- is probably a bit of a fraud, based on a little Chem 101
knowledge.

Unfortunately, the general public is presumed under the law not to have
taken Chem 101, and so health claims and product misrepresentation are
policed by the FTC, FDA, and their alphabet soup sister agencies.

There's no reason to suppose that Internet ads aren't included in that
oversight -- so what the C&S announcement really heralds is the entry of
more federal agencies into reviewing the content of messages on the net.

Somebody asked how we're to distinguish an advertisment posting from a
non-commercial posting. Don't fret about it -- the feds will be here soon
to decide for you.

"We're from the government. We're here to help you."
