News that Cantor and Siegel have acquired their own host, and could
conceivably decide to start their own network simply reinforces the
arguments that I made in an earlier post. Members of the CIX will need
to adopt policies regarding what is acceptable traffic, and agree that
they will only accept traffic from members who adhere to the those
polices.
Nahhhh. C&S need to learn that they're using someone else's property.
The property owners can and will control their own property, up to and
including C&S filters. It's a matter of moments to set up a mail
alias that cancels articles by message-id. That, plus a subscription
to the "cancel-c-n-s@emlist.com" mailing list, will keep your users
from any grief.
Cooperation is optional.
