Telephone companies are always complaining about revenue. If they are
forced to deploy services that can generate big $$$ , I think that there
are real concerns a rate reduction might be called for.
A company in Florida is going to be serving up Internet access via a 3
digit telephone number. Thats right people 3 digits. As fast and simple
as 911 has become , a start up provider has purchased a 3 digit number. I
wil not announe the name of the provider - They deserve that right but, I
will say the telco rates for this type of service was $25,000 up front
as a one time payment and a guranteed $10,000 a month plus the telco gets
to do all the billing. Kind of sort of like AADS - Hi - We are from the
phone company - We want to help your business grow. Sure thing.
