Thierry Lehoux's description of how the centralized, government controlled
French Minitel network will defeat the distributed out-of-control Internet
is the funniest thing I have ever read. Everyone should save a copy of this
ode to industrial policy as it will someday help historians explain why
the French were never able to compete in the information business. Lucky
for them, wine and cheese will never
go out of style.
Hey, I wonder if Thierry's grandfather helped design the Maginot line <g>?
