There is a difference between calling and leaving threatening or harrasing
messages / faxing umpteen sheets of black / email mailbombing with copies
of your UNIX kernel etc. and sending in valid if perhaps long complaints
by the same media.
As long as you're sending feedback, complaints, etc., you're ok.
That means stuff you personally write / say about it, if you're emailing
or faxing you can include copies of the articles (though more than one
is poor form and pusing it), lists of groups they posted to, lists of
the charters and/or one-line group summaries for the groups they posted to,
long rants about the evils of commercializing the internet, notes to the
effect that you and your service provider will be billing them for
any more occurrances of the message type propogated to the following
groups (followed by long list...) ... you should get the idea.
There are plenty of legal ways of expressing displeasure. There is no
need to resort to illegal ones.
