|I have a meeting on Monday with someone who says they are mixing frame
|relay with Internet connectivity.  Can anyone with experience with such a
|mixture, or lack-of-mixability possibly tell me some good or horror
|stories about this?  My own past uses of X.25 were inconsistant with
|reasonable ftp, gopher, www and similar services, let alone ANY prospects
|of experimental services that are coming.

For the KANsas Research and Education Network (KANREN) is using almost all
Frame relay connections.  We have one large router in each LATA with a T1
FR link to the SW Bell switch.  Each site (we are just now installing) will
start out with a 56 Kb FR link.  A PVC will make the connection to the
LATA router.
BTW, The state of Arkansas is also using Frame Relay for their state
network and it IS up and working.

I don't consider Frame Relay and IP a "mixture".  Frame Relay is just the
new form of X.25 packet networking.  cisco, among others, has Frame Relay
support in their routers.  Frame Relay just forms the network layer like
HDLC, X.25, PPP or other technologies.
