various good folk have done who is's and trace routes. AT&T and Bell
Labs have several connection to the net. The most likely one seems to be
in columbus Ohio through OARnet that trace routes show is routed BOTH
via ANS AND via SprintLink.

I have left vioce mail for the AT&T Director of Internet marketing
Services.

I have sent email to an AT&T vice president....asking both to please
state what AT&T's position and policy on these matters is.

I have also polled the five members of the CIX governing board on this
issue. So far one has replied and said that AT&T was not a CIX member
and should not be getting CIX routing. Apparently the OARnettrace
routes do not definitively establish whether or not AT&T *IS* getting
CIX routing.

Seem to be there are some interesting ramifications at work here. But
at this point I don't have enough data to reach meaningful conclusions.
