Rick,
The T3 network certainly has had problems. It turns out that engineering
T3 data networks is significantly harder than T1 -- largely because no one
has really done it before. It's not called "bleeding edge" for nothing.
At the Atlanta IETF meeting, during the ANS/Merit T3 Network Status
Report presentation, Jordan Becker of ANS described these problems and
the steps we are taking to fix them.
This is hardly a "trust me" attitude. Quite to the contrary, if there
is a "party line" at ANS it is "let's work together". That is what
the IETF is all about. We missed you, Rick...
