Ok, first Karl when I talk about someone or something being a hassle, I
refer to IP re-sellers like Sprint , Alternet and others. I would NOT
prohibit a customer from re-selling. Sooner than later they run out of
bandwidth. Period. More bandwidth more money. I know the reseller can
overload the line and I know that the Providers want the $$$ but, it
seems to me that we are talking about small problems. In the overall
scope of things you said it yourself. Ameritech is going to enter your
market and start selling. How do you compete with a billion dollar
company that has unlimited resources ? Yes, its been done but, the Court
should stop this now. The same thing happened in the packet days but, the
telco's have a friend in the White House now.
All in all the discussion is good - we share a variety of opinions and
thats great. The CIX is silent for the most part. As a trade Org. how do
they promote your business ? I am not saying they promised to do so. I am
just asking where are they going from here.
Side Note: Ittai at ANS asked a very reasonable question. The CIX should
answer it. That answer is something alot of us are waiting for.
As always good to chat,
Cheers,
