Look, if you want to battle semantics then I'm out of this discussion.  We
don't have a common language any longer, and this is not productive.

I think you're well aware of the differences here, and are just grasping at
strawmen trying to find a way to knock down an agreement that you don't
like.  

The fact is, there is nothing more or less legit about this distinction
than any other.  If you feel that the CIX is somehow "wrong headed" then
form your own trade association, sign up the members, and do your think.
If it makes sense for MCSNet to join I will do so.  If it does not then I
won't.
