1. Jennie mentioned at a recent meeting that it's hard to find _Time_
(the magazine) on BartonII. If you'll do this search on Barton,
you'll see that it retrieves exactly the same result -- 4 hits, and
none of them is "it." Just looking at the MARC record I cannot
determine why this is, but I continue to think that when we are able
to modify a search by type of publication (eg serial) this will be
much easier. I know the subcommittee working on this hasn't finished
its deliberations, but if someone (Sam?) can quickly tell us how to do
this, we can begin to play with it.
2. Some of you have asked about signing up the "second wave" trainees
to opac-lib. I think I set it up so that anyone can put themselves on
by simply typing
listmaint
at the prompt and then following directions. If I'm wrong, please let
me know.
3. PLEASE SEND TROUBLE REPORTS TO GRANT. Send him lots. Don't
decide not to send a report if you're afraid that it might be
something you just don't know, rather than a bug; he'll be sending
those to me so I can keep track of training issues.
