The good news is that we think that we have found the problem that was
causing the problems with emmy.
The bad news is that it means that emmy will be out of action until
Wednesday at least. Our system programmer needs to do a bunch of stuff
to get emmy back up and stable. It appears that the way Advance
was set up was causing problems with our disk array.
The good news is that isn't as important as it sounds since Geac has to
re-build our database and has started that this weekend. Even if emmy
were up we'd be looking at bad data.
The bad news is that since Geac will be rebuilding our data it will
probably be after the 4th of July that we'll be able to look at it.
The good news is that they'll be using the tables as they were just
before we loaded the second GMA rather than the earlier May 29 tables.
Our first goal will be to re-load the test database from the first GMA.
If all goes well that should be available later this week (about
Thursday maybe.)
Film at 11.
"Even a little party would be nice, right now."
"See the USA with a GMA! <Batteries not included.>"
"Hello, Office Depot, I'd like to order a couple million index cards."
