OPAC qualifiers -- interim report

Thanks to those of you who have communicated with me on this matter.
Here's where we stand so far:
SUBLOCATIONS are basically the names of library units. I do not have
the full list in front of me, and I did have a couple of questions
about some of the more "exotic" locations which I have addressed to
the individuals in charge of them. Basically, I anticipate that all
the divisions and branches, RSC, RBR, Archives, and the reading rooms
will be set up as qualifiers. If I missed you, please let me know!
In addition, the following have been proposed as qualifiers:
AUDTAPE
CD
CDROM
FILM
GOVDOCS
LIBRTTO
LIMITED
MAPROOM
RECORD
SCORE
VDISC
VIDEO
WSRR
Question: how about REF? Is it useful to be able to qualify a search
for only reference material? (Remember, you couldn't limit to ref in
a particular location -- the system can only take one qualifier at a
time.)
