Greg: We had a chance this afternoon to discuss this at ACQ/SER
implementation group. The first idea that was expressed was to wait and do
this after Memorial Day when ACQ will be finished with their
ordering/receiving push. People are in a frenzy about pushing to get as
much into the database before GMA2, and there keep being so many
distractions. The other message that came through loud and clear is that
testing keeps being bumped by other priorities, and this seemed like just
one more thing to prepare for...
That being said, and assuming that this meeting will happen on 5/15, we
have a proposal to make about our focus sessions. Three factors come to
mind:
1. We agree it's good to keep ACQ and SER on the same day, since some
folks will want to attend both, and we'd like to minimize the total time
commitment for those people.
2. We'd like to include some information on accounts in the ACQ session,
but Donna and Jennifer are both out that Monday and Sheelah is not
available until 2pm.
3. We assume we should stay on Monday, since cataloging needs to be on
Wednesday due to Sarah's schedule.
Therefore, we propose the following schedule change:
*** 5/15 focus sessions: ACQ 2-3; SER 3-4:40 ***
We think an hour is appropriate for Acquisitions demo and questions, and
Sheelah can be there by 2pm. And, as I said, we'd like to eliminate the
break between sessions to reduce the time.
