Hi everybody.
I think Margo's suggestion is a good one. We had one training
participant ask early on if Advance provided a way to mark and save
items for later downloading or printing as CD-Barton does. My original
response was no - I couldn't think of any way to do that. However,
after the hands-on portion of the session, this same participant came
back with the suggestion that opac parms was the way. So, when we took
a look at opac parms later we tried to select some items with the select
and view function. We just couldn't produce on the screen what we were
suggesting this function ought to do. I think this question will start
to come up on occasion as more of us learn and play with Advance. We
should probably get our response together in preparation for this. I
believe there is also an associated help screen (now blank) that we
could fill in to explain select and view.
