Sarah et al.,
I think I've found a few videos that have numbers appropriate for
field 028 (2 alphabetic characters plus a numeric component).
The OCLC records for these were input before format integration, so
they do not have the 028 field. Supposedly we would now add it. These
items also have not yet been cataloged by us, so they're not in
Advance yet. (Of course records in Advance would by definition not
have 028 $4 because format integration didn't happen till post-GMA).
I do not think they'll "mess up" our mn index; my reading of the new
OCLC documentation tells me they'll look virtually identical to score
and sound recording numbers -- but maybe that's precisely the concern?
