Thank you, Peter and Christie, for your GeoComments. (And thanks to the rest of
you, too -- don't feel slighted!) I just wanted to point out that there are one
or two items on your list which, in fact, GeoPac DOES do, it's just that these
features are "hidden" in various Windows menus. Examples:
>Basket: How do you print detailed records for citations? All it
gives you is title & author -- no location, no call number.
OK, I'm not at my desk right now so I'm working from memory. BUT if you click
on "Options" one of the items on the pull-down menu allows you to configure your
Basket displays. You can have your Baskets display any fields you want. It's
pretty clear to me that if/when we bring this client up for public use we would
want Baskets to display locations & call nos. Once you find how to do this, it
takes 45 seconds.
>When you get a list and ask for Detail on one title, depending on length
of entry, you may see one location and not realize that there are more
locations. (The numeral 1. before that location isn't really a clue, because
it will be present even if there is only one location.)
Possible fix to this: You can, by pulling down the same menu I just mentioned,
change the order in which fields are displayed. We never got around to playing
with this, but this problem might be fixed simply by having library locations be
displayed sooner. [Hope this makes sense!]
Hey, isn't this fun????
