Any comments about the bib data date? I missed the last 20 minutes of
this meeting, so, I don't know whether they talked about
the database freeze and its impacts.

Subject: Tentative Schedule...

At BOG's meeting with Matt we (not including Matt, he was a
spectator) roughed out the final schedule for going live. Here it is for
your comments and Geac's suggestions.

Bib data to Geac: May 22

Acq/Circ data to Geac: May 30 (after Memorial Day and Commencement so we
can use the three day weekend to prepare it.)

Live date: approximately June 15.

We anticipate that after we get the data back from Geac we will have to
spend a few days checking it to make sure it came across OK before actually
going live.

We will be using the Advance Circ Backup while Circulation is down.

We plan to do a yearend for Acq on GLIS before we send it to the GMA. This
should minimize problems with the Acq. fund data or at least give us a way
to correct it.

We really need to minimize the amount of time that Acq. is down. I don't
recall if we've gotten a response to an earlier question about how much we
could close that window down. Double entry of receipts is not considered a
viable option for our work flow.
