I'm sure you've all heard about this... but here's the plan written out
just so we all have the same expectations going in...
On Tuesday (28 Feb) we will meet in the new Library Training Room (14-0645)
to run through our "2nd wave" of cataloging training. The 1st wave of
training took place with Matt Goldner earlier this month. Many of those who
were in the 1st wave will come to the second wave because we are all still
trying to figure out how to use the system. All of us in the 1st and 2nd
waves got there because we are going to be conducting the (more or less)
intensive testing of the cataloging data and module in Advance (lucky us!).
Tuesday's agenda will be to present what we know of the cataloging module.
We will use handouts already developed and identify handouts we should
develop for future training of cataloging staff. Please come prepared not
only to learn the material presented, but also ready to critique the
training itself. We'll be looking for ideas about how to continue the
rollout of training to the rest of the staff.
We know the session will take at least 9-11am. I've reserved the room until
Noon just in case we need to spend more time. Please send me any ideas you
have of what we should do differently from Matt's session or what you want
to make sure we cover in this session. Also, let me know if you already
have ideas about handouts that might be useful.
Thanks! See you there!

P.S. Could someone please double-check the "To" line above... I want to be
sure I didn't miss someone who should be getting this message. Thanks.
