Sam's idea will work, although it not would have been possible prior
to rel 6.0 (index in both series and title).
My only caviat is that I'm not sure that clever sorting of the volumes
will happen. This should be tested to insure that people can live with
v. 1
v. 11
v. 2
if it does occur.
This may be the most workable solution. Also, tell Sam not to bother
with a bug report on the imprecise matching. This is the way the
modify works.
