I asked Robert Cunningham to check to see if we could use either the
RCD (old recon) symbol, or the Document Services symbol, MYY so that
we could do some testing of ftping OCLC records. He tells me that
both are still valid. RCD is still set up to receive cards, so, if we
were to test using this symbol, we'd only be able to use UPDATE in
order to avoid getting cards.

MYYA is the Document Services symbol and its set up to receive tape
records only. This seems odd to me since I can't imagine why Keith
would have set up a cataloging profile for Document Services.
Robert Cunningham seems to think that OCLC automatically added MYYA to
our catalog profile list. We wouldn't be sure until we actually
tried it.

I'm tempted to go with MYY, but, I wouldn't want to waste time if for
some reason Robert Cunningham isn't right about that cataloging profile.

COMMENTS?

The good news is that if everyone in the EMS office is healthy (they're
a bit understaffed and its flu season...), it only takes 1-2 weeks
to get the Electronic MARC Subscription Service set up.
