Hi Everyone-
I've recently begun thinking about my need to store this kind of
information more efficiently, so I'll be interested in seeing how this
thread evolves...
Info about how I'm doing this is in-line...

Email: I have a big folder in my e-mail with all the files and email
associated with each incident separately filed.

All communication between me and the involved parties gets cc'd to relevant
people. I couldn't say what they do with their copies... Neither college
administration nor university police gets involved usually.

Being part of the State of NY, we have a state-wide criminal justice
reporting system that our campus police use...
I don't know what our Dean of Students does...

We do use ARS to track all calls to our helpdesk... The system emails
summaries to people when any call is assigned to them. That would get
filed in my email files. I can also do an extract from the system of the
whole call, if I like. If I were to do that (I haven't) I would email the
extract to myself to file it.
I know this is all rather backwards, especially when I'm in the department
that has the ability to have a much more technological solution, but I've
spent so much time dealing with the problems that I haven't had a whole lot
of time to organize how I keep the info after the fact! :-)
