To quote my "caveat" sheet:
You may find Ethernet equipment that is less expensive than the products
offered at the MCC. Before buying any of these products, be aware that they
may not work as well as you'd expect them to work. If you have a question
about a specific card or device, send email to <resnet-help@mit.edu> or
call x3-4101. A network consultant should be able to help you decide
whether or not your potential purchase would be a wise one.
