We use Norton's AntiVirus Corporate Edition. It is a fairly easy product to
set up and maintain. It has a utility so students can intall the NAV from a
web page. The system is designed to get new definitions each night and
student systems check for new updates each hour. This insures that they get
the updates when they start their computers. They do not need to log onto a
domain. The licenses cost us about $3.00 per student.

Subject: Antivirus Software
I guess now is a good time to ask this question as any, since we are in the
middle of a virus outbreak.
We would like to purchase some kind of antivirus software for our students.
We would like to keep a central server, and push the update out to the
students from there. (to save bandwidth)
What are other people using, if any. And how did you distribute it to the
students. The students on our network are as physically separated as we can
get and do not log into our domain.
We use F-prot for our admin network, but it depends on being able to log
into the domain.
