I've got a Compaq Armada E500 laptop here. It's got a builtin Intel
Pro/100+ network card in it.
I'm trying to create a Win98/DOS boot diskette that will attach to our
Novell network. I can't seem to get this machine to attach. Perhaps I'm
missing something obvious here...
AUTOEXEC.BAT on floppy...
A:\NWCLIENT\LSL.COM
A:\NWCLIENT\e100bodi.com
A:\NWCLIENT\IPXODI.COM
A:\NWCLIENT\VLM.EXE
f:
login
It all looks good up until the VLM.EXE, it never attachs to the Novell Network.
NET.CFG on floppy...
Link Support
Buffers 8 1586
MemPool 16384
Link Driver e100bodi
FRAME ETHERNET_802.2
NetWare DOS Requester
FIRST NETWORK DRIVE = F
NETWARE PROTOCOL = NDS BIND
FILE BUFFERS = 60
I've used this NET.CFG over and over, all I've needed to to in the past
when I've encountered a new network card is to change the "Link Driver"
line to match the driver in the autoexec.bat file...
Am I missing something here???
