Hi folks,
I have recently asked our ISP to block TCP ports 138 and 139 (netbui) from
entering our internal network.
I have a few questions for you:
1) Do you block ports 138 and 139 at your Internet router? If you don't,
what applications do people use from off-campus that require those ports?
2) What other ports do you block at your Internet router?
3) Do you prefer blocking ports with access lists or firewalls?
Thanks for any feedback. I am happy to post a summary if I receive any
replies.
