This happens to us all the time - we'll get A4 or Exec or something really oddball and it will hold up the queue at the printer.

It is SUPPOSED to over-ride it, but I've never gotten it to work.

One little note about PaperCut - and it only applies if you use a virtual queue and you track your printing by the queue - print jobs are NOT tracked by virtual queue, but by "final" queue. I have a couple of printers that I pool, for balancing and failover, so my three virtual queues (Poppa-Main-SGL, -DBL, -DBL-Staple) go to BOTH. Unfortunately, Papercut does not tell me what these three virtual queues do so, for reporting purposes, I take what my other labs' SGL, DBL, DBL-Staple queues do, take a ratio and apply that to my virtual queues.

Hope this makes sense. It may not apply to you - I don't know many who pool printers like this, and I don't know very many who track printing as closely as I do. :)

Cheers
Mike
