I'm involved in wiring the rooms at pika. I'm interested in hearing
from other houses that will be buying network hardware this summer and
that are interested in negotiating a group purchase discount for the
equipment. Neal Dorow has offered his assistance in coordinating the
collection of the money. If you plan a large purchase (even if you
don't know what you'll be getting), please send me email (don't CC:
resnet!) saying what house you're with and what your (even very rough)
plans/ideas are. You don't commit yourself to anything by doing this,
I just want to get a list of names and a very basic idea of the amount
of gear that's being purchased, to see if it's going to be worth the
effort.
