I believe I had inquired of this a year ago when Lion was released. As Jer=
emy points out, you'll need to go through the volume purchasing program and=
purchase 'x' amount of copies/licenses for the software you want and you'd=
get redemption codes for that software. You would then give one of these =
codes to your end-user who will need to use their own Apple-ID account to d=
ownload the software by entering this redemption code.

Someone her on-campus who dealt with this said the following:

"So, the answer to this is the Apple Volume Purchase Program (VPP): http:=
//www.apple.com/education/volume-purchase-program/

Right at this moment, I don't have time to lay out exactly how I'd architec=
t a setup to achieve their goals, but it is possible. The key is that all =
Apple ID's used on university-owned devices should be run through VPP - don=
't use personal Apple IDs."

Hope that helps.

Thanks.

Eric,

I have a favor to request of you.

We currently use a "techadmin" App Store/iTunes account to buy software fro=

can't be the only university having this trouble.

So, would you please email whomever you need to to find out what other univ=

Thanks,
Keith
