Brian,

* What are some of the items that will not copy over?

* What do you for network printers? Is this all done locally (creat=
ing the setup account in Local Users and Groups) versus logging onto the do=
main as domain account called 'setup'?

- This looks very promising. I would prefer this over the sysprep =
if it works.

Thanks,
Bob

Yes, we have a success story!!! Someone on this list pointed us to a tool c=
alled "Defprof.exe" you can use to copy a user's profile to the default use=
r profile... it is not a built in Windows tool, you can download it from he=
re

http://www.forensit.com/support-downloads.html

We created a local user called "setup" and logged in and made all of our ch=
anges then you reboot the machine and log in as the local administrator and=
run "defprof.exe setup" to copy the setup user's profile.

There are some things that didn't translate over so we handle those items w=
ith Group Policies.

Let me know if you run into any gotchas and we may have some advice since w=
e customized the crap out of our VMware View desktops :-)
