You can use the following to disable first run wizard in IE via sysprep and=
set your defaults=85I believe this is in the Specialize Pass of my sysprep=

We use the SysPrep technique. As you mention, some things do not carry ove=
r, notably the IE and Windows Media Player wizards that insist on running t=
he first time you launch those programs.
I got around this by making a script run once for new users.
One script launches Windows Media Player and then presses the correct butto=
ns and closes WMP.
You can also eliminate the IE8 customization wizard for new users by editin=
g the following key of the default user profile:
'Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main', 'DisableFirstRunCustomize', 'R=
EG_DWORD', 1
Thanks.

Hi Nick,
Are you using Windows System Image Manger that is included with WAIK to =
create a sysprep file? Part of sysprep gives an option to copy the administ=
rator profile over to the default user profile. You run sysprep to automate=
a lot of configuration changed before doing your final tweaks specific for=
you user. I have been using this method since the release of Win7 and it w=
orks well. Here is more info on the option in sysprep. If you need more gui=
dance, feel free to contact me.
