I have been using Microsoft Security Essentials on my wife's PC and
Windows laptop for a couple years. (I am a Mac user but she is a realtor
and must have Active X and IE to access a local MLS). Anyway, MSE has done
very adequate virus protection. However, all updates to MSE are posted by
Microsoft as optional updates. I don't allow optional MS updates on her
machines, but I do automatic updates of critical updates. I heard rumor
that there was something that could be done to make MSE updates post as
critical updates. I have Goggled that issue but find no answers.
Does anyone know how to make MSE updates post as critical updates such
that they will happen automatically if a machine is setup to auto update
critical MS updates?
