We have a home-grown system that was coded by a few students and helped alo=
ng by some full-time staff. We moved to that system from a terrible Oracle =
Calendar setup, and it's been a godsend. It's in a nebulous not-exactly-tot=
ally-supported realm that makes me constantly nervous, but the fact is, eve=
ry place I've been that has really conquered this problem to total satisfac=
tion has done it with a home grown solution that they tweaked to meet their=
own needs - either by building from scratch, or by taking another system f=
rom another school and changing it to meet your needs.
So to me, it sounds like you need to hire a co-op programming student and h=
old your breath :-) But how painful - 70-plus kids in spreadsheets. I'm win=
cing for you all the way from North Carolina :-)
