Dear Members,
It is time again for you to consider an opportunity to serve ResNet in a mo=
re proactive role! That's right; it's your opportunity to volunteer to ser=
ve on ResNet's Board of Directors.
While it may look like our listserv, web server, and indeed, the annual con=
ference itself, appear to just happen seamlessly, or at least without much =
difficulty, nothing could be further from the truth. ResNet and our annual=
Student Technology Conference and all of their elements are managed, maint=
ained, and developed by volunteers like you and me. We have a lot of volun=
teer positions available for all levels of desired involvement, but if you =
want to take it a step further and help build YOUR organization, please con=
sider nominating yourself or urging a colleague to throw their hat into the=
ring for a position on the ResNet Board of Directors.
We are currently soliciting nominations for the following five positions:
Director of Communications (2-year term, June 2012 - June 2014)
Director of New Initiatives (2 year term, June 2012 - June 2014)
Director of External Relations (2 year term, June 2012 - June 2014)
Treasurer (3 year term, June 2012 - June 2015)
Vice President (Presidential track, 3-year term, June 2012 - June 2015)

All candidates must supply the following information to the Nominations Com=
mittee:
=A7 Statement of intent to run that includes
o Position you are running for
o Why you are interested in the position
o Your qualifications for the position
=A7 Brief bio and statement of position to include on the ballot (1 paragr=
aph)
=A7 Letter of institutional support from your immediate supervisor
=A7 Resume
The process to submit your nomination for our spring election ballot is not=
difficult, but the rewards are many (not the least of which is it will loo=
k really good on a resume)! The deadline to submit your nomination is Febr=
uary 29, 2012.
