My system Engineer - Jake Sallee uses a program called airodump-ng. It req=
uires linux and he says it's the absolute best tool for finding wireless cl=
ients. It has several tools that help you sniff traffic on the wireless an=
d will show you a list of clients and their MAC addresses, once you have th=
e macs you can easily filter for macintosh products by the MAC ID field. I=
'm sure there are many other great tools out there as well.

Subject: Anyone know of a tool that....

I'm looking for a tool that can scan a wireless IP subnet and identify devi=
ces, not only PCs and Macs, but iphones, ipods, ipads, android devices, etc=
. I'm having a real problem with some devices and my firewall, and it seem=
s the IP addresses always seem to come back to iphones and ipods. I'd like=
to be able to scan the wireless and see if I can identify the specific pho=
nes/pods that are causing the problem and what it is they are trying to do.

I have a number of scanners that identify computers, but nothing that disco=
vers consumer devices. Any ideas?

Many Thanks.
Chris
